Itinerary
Day: 01: Arrive Delhi
Upon you arrival at Delhi airport, our representative will transfer you to air-conditioned car as you leave for your hotel. Spend the day at leisure. Enjoy shopping in the colorful markets of Delhi. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day: 02: Delhi
After breakfast, you will take a trip down the lane of Mughal history as we take you on a full day sight-seeing outing at “Dilwalo ki Shahar” – Delhi. Situated on the banks of Yamuna, the Red Fort or Lal Quila stands testimony to Shah Jahan’s love for art and architecture. The fort was constructed in the 1630s-1940s, marking the shift of the Mughal capital from Agra to Delhi. Visit Jama Masjid –another marvel constructed in the Mughal Era. Its sheer majestic appeal will surely take your breath away. Formerly known as Masjid-i-Jahan Numa or “mosque commanding view of the world”, its single courtyard can accommodate more than 25,000 people. Built by Qutub-ud-Din Aibak in 1193, the Qutub Minar even today stands as a symbol commemorating the glory of Muslim rule in Delhi. It was built after the defeat of the last Hindu ruler of the capital. The highest tower standing in India and the surrounding complex will be a paradise for photographers. A visit to Maqbara-i-Humayun or Humayun’s tomb will take you back in time. It was built after the death of benevolent Emporer Humanyun by his first wife and chief consort, Bega Begum. Many visitors say that the sadness of Bega Begum after the death of her husband and lover can be still felt there today. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 03: Delhi – Varanasi
Have breakfast, then you will leave for Delhi airport to board your flight to Varanasi. On arrival, check in to the hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy you overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 04: Varanasi
Have breakfast and leave for early morning boat excursion along the River Ganges to see the bathing Ghats and cremation site. Varanasi is one of the oldest cities in the world and perhaps the nerve-centre of Hinduism. For tourists, it is a bustling, colourful, soulful city that holds surprises in every corner and every lane. A centre for culture, religion, food – Varanasi is a city that can’t disappoint. The trip in Varanasi should ideally start with a sunrise boat ride. Floating past Dashashwamedh, Manikarnika or Assi Ghat, watch the city come to life as the sun rises. With the birds for company, an early morning boat ride is a paradise for photographers. Visit Kashi Vishwanath Temple is the main attraction for tourists who visit Varanasi for religious reasons. It is one of the 12 jyotirlingas or holiest of Shiva Temples. The temple has a mention even in the Puranas but over history has been demolished and reconstructed a number of times, mainly due to Islamic invasion. Along with Vishwanath Temple, we will take you around Manas Mandir and Birla temple also. A short ride from Varanasi will take you to Sarnath which is a place of immense historical importance as this is where around 2,500 years ago, Gautama Buddha delivered his first sermon. It was excavated in 1834 by Alexander Cunningham, the head of the Archaeological Survey of India then. Dhamek stupa, Mulagandha Kuti Vihar, Chaukhandi Stupa, Japanese Temple, Buddhist Monastery and the Sarnath Museum are notable spots to be visited. Another one-hour drive would take us to the beautiful Ramnagar Fort, located in the eastern bank of the Ganga. It is a sandstone structure, inspired by the Mughal style of architecture and built in 1750 by Kashi Naresh Raja Balwant Singh. On completion of sightseeing, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 05: Varanasi – Khajuraho
Have breakfast, you will leave for Khajuraho. On reaching this place, you will check-in the hotel for relax. Rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 06: Khajuraho
Have breakfast, then you will leave for sightseeing Khajuraho. It is situated in the Vindhya range is a town that offers a first-hand experience with History through its mysterious yet exotic set of temples.
Built by the Chandela dynasty, perhaps between 950 and 1050 CE, the Khajuraho temples boast a unique architectural style. Built following the Nagara style the temple exterior is adorned with intricate, detailed carvings of erotic postures. A UNESCO world heritage site, no one really knows why these one-of-a-kind temples were constructed. Though only 22 of the 85 temples remain today, the place will leave you awestruck and mystified. The ruins of the temples are well preserved at the archaeological museum of Khajuraho. Raneh Falls, Ajaigarh Fort and Panna National Park are other places of beauty near Khajuraho. On completion of sightseeing, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 07: Khajuraho – Bandhavgarh National Park
Have breakfast, you will leave for Bandhavgarh National Park. On reaching this place, you will check-in the hotel for relax. Rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 08: Bandhavgarh National Park
Bandhavgarh National Park is a wildlife sanctuary known for its population of royal Bengal tigers. The hunting reserve for the royal family of Rewa in the yesteryears, Bandhavgarh was one of those places in India where the elusive white tiger could be spotted. On elephant back, one can still spot animals like fox, wild boar, chital, chinkara, nilgai, chausingha etc. If you are very lucky, you can spot a tiger or two. Enjoy tiger sighting and return to resort for comfortable overnight stay.
Day 09: Bandhavgarh National Park – Kanha National Park
Have breakfast, you will leave for Kanha National Park. On reaching this place, you will check-in the hotel for relax. Rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 10: Kanha National Park
Grassy meadows and lush jungles, Kanha National Park forms the core of the Kanha Tiger Reserve. The dense greenery is home to numerous tigers and the park is also famous as home to the near-extinct swamp deer or barasingha. The well-preserved park that follows strict conservation policies provides picturesque sights to behold at every turn. The national park was the inspiration behind Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Jungle Book’. Kanha is also home to leopards, sambhars, hyena, blackbuck, chital, porcupine etc. Enjoy tiger sighting and return to resort for comfortable overnight stay.
Day 11: Kanha National Park – Bhopal
Have breakfast, then you will leave for Bhopal. En Route, you will visit Bhuddhist monasteries located at Sanchi. Again drive towards Bhopal and on arrival check-in the hotel for comfortable overnight stay.
Day 12: Bhopal
Have breakfast, then you will leave for sightseeing in Bhopal. With beautiful natural and man-made lakes around the city, Bhopal is lovingly called the city of lakes. The city offers two distinct types of experiences – one which is old and intriguing and the other which is new and bustling. Among the picturesque lakes of Bhopal, Upper Lake is the most visually stunning one. Van Vihar National Park covering an area of 445.21 hectares is home to numerous kinds of flora and fauna. The Taj-ul-Masjid is one of the largest mosques in India. Bhopal also has an interesting history of being ruled by the Begums of the Nawabs for a hundred years. Gohar Mahal stands testimony to that. Raisen Fort offers panoramic views of the city and the surrounding areas. Bhojtal is the largest man-made lake in India. Bhopal is also known for its zardosi and zari work. So do not forget to pick up a few pieces for yourself or your family. On completion of sightseeing, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 13: Bhopal – Mandu
Have breakfast, then you will leave for Mandu. On arrival, you will check-in the hotel and later explore Mandu which will spellbind you with its Afghan architecture set amidst a backdrop of baobab trees, a species native to Africa. Mandu has a varied history adorned with the legendary love story of Raz Bagadur and Roopmati. The alleys, the palaces and the ancient architecture of the 6th-century city will take you back in time and tell you numerous stories of the bygone days. The Mandu Fort is the biggest fort in India. The Jahaz Mahal creates the illusion of a ship just about to set sail. The gateway of Mandu, the Hindola Mahal, Jami Masjid, Hoshang Shah’s tomb, Baz Bahadur is other places of interest in the city. On completion of sightseeing, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 14: Mandu – Indore
Have breakfast, then you will leave for Indore. On arrival, you will check-in the hotel Indore, the largest city in Madhya Pradesh, is sprinkled with bits of architecture dating back to the Maratha era. It is a city engulfed in culture and the birth-place of the Indore Gharana of music. It is also the commercial hub between the Deccan and Delhi. The Kanch Mandir is entirely made up of glass and mirrors. Lalbagh palace boasts unique Maratha architecture. Choral Dam and Pipliyapala are visually stunning. The Chhatris of Indore are a sight to behold. Sarafa Bazar is a bustling market during the day and a place where one can savour authentic cuisine in the evenings. Indore is also famous for its leather toys. On completion of sightseeing, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 15: Indore – Jhansi (by flight) and drive to Orchha
Have breakfast, then you will leave for Indore airport to board your flight to Jhansi. On arrival, you will drive towards Orchha. Check-in the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 16: Orchha
Have breakfast, then you will leave for sightseeing in Orchha. Orchha was founded in the 16th Century by Rudra Pratap, Bundela Rajput Chief. Set on the banks of river Betwa, the town seems frozen in time. The Ram Raja Temple of Betwa is the only place where Ram is worshipped both as a deity and a king. The Laxmi Narayan Temple is unique with the architecture that resembles that of a fort. The stunning Jahangir Mahal was built in memory of Mughal Emperor Jahangir. The Chhatris also present beautiful architecture and makes up for a beautiful sight. Try river rafting when in Orchha. Do not forget to pick up some metal handicrafts native to this place. On completion of sightseeing, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 17: Orchha – Gwalior
Have breakfast, you will leave for Manali. On reaching this place, you will check-in the hotel for relax. Rest of the day is at leisure. Enjoy your overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 18: Gwalior
Have breakfast, then you will leave for sightseeing in Gwalior. Gwalior has been home to many dynasties and the architecture of the city bears testimony to that. A seat of art and culture, it is the birthplace of legendary musicians – Tansen and Baiju Bawra. The hilltop fort of Gwalior stands in its legendary majesty. It was described as the “pearl” if all fortresses in India. Gujari Mahal was built in the 15th Century by Man Singh and today houses the State Archaeological Museum. Sarod Ghar – Museum of Music – has been set up in the ancestral house of Ustad Hafiz Ali Khan. Gopachal Paraval has rock-cut statues of the Jain Tirthankaras. Jai Vilas Palace has a carpet which had taken 12 years to weave. The Vishnu Temple has the first ever ‘zero’ written. Tigara Dam is a sight to behold. On completion of sightseeing, return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 19: Gwalior – Agra
Have breakfast, then you will leave towards Agra. On arrival, check in the hotel and later explore this picturesque countryside which will be a soothing treat before we start exploring the numerous gems of Agra. A symbol of love; a man-made wonder; a monument of beauty – all descriptions fall short when it comes to the Taj. Nothing can compare the feeling you will have when you lay your eyes on the ivory-white façade of this architectural wonder. A group photo with the monument in the background will be great. Visit Agra Fort which served as the residence of the Mughal emperors till 1638 when the capital of the empire was shifted to Delhi. The fort is no less than a walled city in itself. Also visit Itimad-ud-Daulah was a title given to Mirza Gyas Beg, father of Noor Jahan, the wife of Jahangir. The tomb of Beg, our next stop, was drafted after the Taj Mahal and earned the name “Baby Taj”. Agra also boasts numerous markets in the city from where you can buy marble handicrafts and ornate boxes. Return to hotel for overnight stay.

Day 20: Agra – Fathepur Sikri – Jaipur
Optional: This morning, you can visit Taj Mahal again at the time of sunrise. After breakfast, you will leave for Jaipur. On the way, we will also be stopping at two beautiful spots – Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri. Fatehpur Sikri was Mughal Emperor Akbar’s capital and it was founded by him in 1571. The picturesque city-monument is 3 km long and 1 km wide. It is surrounded with walls on 3 sides and a lake on the fourth. Drive again towards Jaipur and on arrival check-in the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 21: Jaipur
After breakfast, we will introduce you to the glory of the Rajput rule in the state – Jaipur. Rajput monuments are still well-maintained and in good shape giving you a good perspective of the art, culture and architecture of the Rajput era. Amber Fort is engulfed in nostalgia as it was once the capital of the Jaipur princely state. It is a UNESCO world heritage site and one of the 6 hill forts of Rajasthan. The architecture is unique of its kind as it accommodates both Hindu and Islamic styles. A special attraction of the Amber Fort visit is the elephant ride that will conclude it. Visit scenic Jal Mahal – is situated in the middle of the Mansagar Lake. The architecture is symbolic of the Rajput style of building a majestic palace in the middle of the lake. The palace boasts a picturesque view of the beautiful lake and the surrounding hills. Visit City Palace built when Maharaja Sawai Jai Singh II shifted his court from Amber to Jaipur. The city palace was primarily an administrative centre and is witness to the rise and fall of numerous maharajas. Today it houses the Maharaja Sawai Man Singh II Museum and is home to the Jaipur royal family. Connected to the women’s chamber or zenana of the City Palace is the most famous tourist destination of Jaipur – the Hawa Mahal. It was built by Sawai Pratap Singh who was inspired by the unique design of the Khetri Mahal. The façade resembles a honeycomb and has 953 windows or jharokas and intricate carvings. A few yards away stand the state museum of Rajasthan – Albert Hall. The building, a fine example of Indo-Saracenic architecture is situated inside the lush Ram Niwas garden, just outside the city palace. An evening in Jaipur is best enjoyed through street-shopping. Jaipur’s range of handicrafts – both expensive & inexpensive is unparalleled – be it the semi-precious jewellery of Johari Bazaar or the minakari on marble work of Chandpole Bazaar. Apart from these, jootis, bandhni fabrics, handmade bags, boxes etc can be picked up as souvenirs. Return to hotel for overnight stay.
Day 22: Jaipur – Delhi/Mumbai ( by flight) and Departure
Have breakfast, then you will proceed towards Jaipur airport to board your flight to Delhi. Board your next flight to home or next destination.
